Dundar Dumlugol, Chairman and CEO

Dundar Dumlugol has 25 years of management experience in the EDA industry managing market leading products such as Spectre circuit simulator and the Analog Artist mixed-signal products while he was at Cadence Design Systems. These products are now the industry standard for analog/mixed-signal design.

At CoWare Inc. he was VP of engineering responsible for all product development. While at CoWare he spearheaded the development of the SystemC language and its accompanying tool suite.

He was chairman of the Language Work Group in the Open SystemC International Consortium that successfully launched SystemC as the new industry standard language for system design.

He was also VP of engineering at Antrim Design Systems and most recently led engineering development at Barcelona Design before joining Magwel as CEO.

Wim Schoenmaker, PhD, CTO and Co-Founder

From 1983 until 1987 he held post-doctoral positions in elementary particle physics at the University of Kaiserslautern (Germany) and the University of Leuven (Belgium).

From 1987 until 2003 he was at the Interuniversity Microelectronic Center (IMEC) at Leuven, where he worked on the development of numerical simulation tools and CAD tools for the study and design of electronic devices at the sub-micron level. Since 1993 he was heading the Technology CAD group at IMEC which is in charge of the software for process- and device simulation as well as the integration of these tools into advanced Technology CAD systems for microelectronic engineering. Besides development of CAD tools for the microelectronics industry, he also performed original research in the field of quantum transport in ultra-small devices as well as the development of a microscopic theory for electromigration phenomena.

Wim Schoenmaker is the principle author of a number of original papers in international journals and international conference contributions in physics and electronic engineering. He holds B.Sc, M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Physics. In 2003, he co-founded the company Magwel, where he is presently CTO.

Peter Meuris, PhD, Product Manager and Co-Founder

Peter Meuris received the M.E. degree in electrical engineering and the PhD degree in plasma physics from the University of Ghent, Ghent, Belgium, in 1993 and 1997, respectively.

After his PhD degree, he held a post-doc position at the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory of De Nayer Institute, Belgium.

He joined the Interuniversity Microelectronic Center (IMEC), Leuven, Belgium in 1999, performing research on electromagnetic modeling of on-chip interconnects using a computer-aided design approach, where he co-initiated the European CODESTAR project.

He has authored or coauthored 30 papers on electromagnetism and has been a reviewer for several journals, and for Flemish funding projects (IWT).
