Designing and Verifying HBM ESD Protection Networks
Consumers don’t worry much about the effects of electrostatic discharge chiefly because of the development of advanced and effective protection circuits that are used on every semiconductor device. However, for designers there are many challenges to implementing these protections that consumers rely on and expect.
Sofics and Magwel have teamed up in a webinar to show how ESD protections can be designed and implemented to give designers and consumers peace of mind. Sofics offers specifically designed IP and servces to build ESD protection networks. Magwel has developed software that can analyze these protections prior to tapeout to ensure that they will meet industry standards and offer reliable protection to the finished devices.
In this webinar Sofics and Magwel will each talk about how they contribute to solving the problem of ESD discharges. Bart Keppins of Sofics will discuss how they work with their customers to design and develop a comprehensive ESD protection network, including customized ESD protection cells and the supporting circuitry. Allan Laser from Magwel will give an overview of the Magwel ESDi verification software using models and circuit design information to verify the effectiveness of the protection.
