Sofics
Sofics provides analog I/O’s and custom circuits for the trade-off between high robustness and high-performance IC design. Its patented technologies are proven in more than 5000 IC designs across all major foundries and process nodes (down to 5nm). Sofics ESD solutions extend the solution set from the foundry provided I/Os, for instance enabling overvoltage tolerant or failsafe I/Os. Sofics ESD solutions have orders of magnitude lower leakage and can reduce the parasitic capacitance by 30% or more for the same ESD robustness level. More than 100 fabless IC companies rely on Sofics IP and expertise. The deliverables are optimized for each application, and can drastically reduce the silicon footprint.
Sofics’ technologies include ESD IP portfolio’s for low voltage and advanced processes (“TakeCharge”) and high voltage/BCD processes (“PowerQubic”). Besides ESD clamps, Sofics also offers other solutions for robust IC Design, such as a LIN PHY, antenna clipping circuit, analog pads, digital IO’s, level shifters for high CDM, Power-on-Reset and radiation hard designs.
